Just booked my first double open jaw in Business Class for about $3000. Much better value than the $2500 Economy fare I first looked at.

I’m on the way home from what was ostensibly an aerospace medicine conference in Denver, but using the skills you and your faculty taught me, I’ve spread out the experience to include, as well as the amazing conference & catching up with my international colleagues: enjoying canapés watching the sun set over Kuala Lumpur; freshening up with a shower, massage & English breakfast at the BA Arrivals Lounge at Heathrow; catching a Molière farce with a friend on the West End; seeing Kevin Kline in a Nöel Coward play on Broadway; going to Mass at a beautiful, enormous church in in LA; and watching the reenactment of an ancient changing of the guard ceremony at Gyeongbok Palace in Seoul; all in a little less than 2 weeks. I’ve travelled mostly First, but some Business, a judicious mix of award & paid fares, requalifying early for British Airways Gold status & on the home stretch for requalifying for Hilton Diamond status. Who would have thought that such enjoyable, comfortable travel was so achievable, that you can travel First or Business at Economy prices, once you know how to use the skills from the amazing armamentarium that you taught me? Journeys are to be enjoyed and savoured, not just endured.
